Honey Gingerbread
Serve with fresh whipped or a lemon sauce!

Ingredients
  1. Flour, A.P., sifted 2-3/4 cup
  2. Baking soda 1 tsp.
  3. Salt 1 tsp.
  4. Baking powder 2 tsp.
  5. Ginger, ground 1 tsp.
  6. Cinnamon, ground 1 tsp.
  7. Egg, beaten 1 each
  8. Vegetable oil 1 cup
  9. Honey 3/4 cup
  10. Sugar, granulated 3/4 cup
  11. Buttermilk 1 cup
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease well and set aside one 13 x 9 inch pan.
  2. sift flour, soda, salt, baking powder, sugar and spices together. Cream eggs and oil together. Add honey in a fine stream, beating constantly.
  3. Add sifted flour alternately with buttermilk, beat until smooth after each addition.
  4. Pour batter into cake pan, bake for 30-40 minutes or until cake test done. Cool for 5 minutes.
Notes
  1. Top with freshly make whipping cream or lemon sauce.
