- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Place the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Simmer for 3 minutes, without stirring. Remove from the heat, and cool to room temperature.
- Store airtight in the refrigerator indefinitely.
- Can be blended with syrups & used as a glaze on pound cakes.
