Picante Sauce
This sauce is outstanding, beats the jarred sauces!

Ingredients
  1. Butter 1/4 cup
  2. Onions, diced ½ cups
  3. Jalapenos, pickled, fine diced 1/3 cup
  4. Cilantro, finely Chopped 1 Tbsp.
  5. Chili Powder 2 tsp.
  6. Salt 1 tsp.
  7. Cumin ¼ tsp.
  8. Jalapeno juice ¼ cup
  9. Water ½ cups
  10. Crushed tomatoes 2 cups (1-16 oz can)
  11. Cilantro, finely Chopped 1 Tbsp.
Instructions
  1. Saute onions in butter, cook until translucent, add peppers and cilantro, cook for 2-3 minutes
  2. Add spices and salt to onion mixture, cook 2-3 minutes. Add jalapeno juice and water to mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes and cilantro to onion mixture, simmer for 20 minutes.
Notes
  1. Serve hot or cold, will last in refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
