Oven Style Pork Ribs, BBQ Ribs

After you have prepared this recipe a couple times, try it on the grill.

Ingredients
- Baby back ribs or spare ribs 1 rack
- Lemon pepper 4 tsp.
- Granulated garlic 4 tsp.
- liquid smoke 1/4 cup
- BBQ Sauce
- Vinegar, apple cider 1/3 cup
- Granulated garlic 1 tsp
- Brown sugar 1 cup
- Soy sauce 3 Tbsp
- Ginger, ground 1-1/2 tsp
- Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
- Liquid smoke 2 tsp
- Orange Marmalade 1/3 cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- Chili sauce 1- 10 oz bottle
- Ketchup 3/4 cup
Instructions
- Blend dry ingredients together. Rub ribs with smoke, thoroughly coat the ribs with the spice rub, cover with clear wrap, refrigerate up to 2 hours. Follow cooking instructions below. At the 2-1/2 to 3 hour mark, remove ribs from the oven, brush both sides with BBQ sauce place back in the oven for a ½ hour , remove and brush the tops one more time, let cook 15 more minutes. I do not brush the ribs when they come out, I like the cooked sauce presentation better.
- Cooking Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 275ºF . Line shallow baking pan with foil, place ribs (curved side up)on pan and place in center of oven. Cook ribs for 2-3/4 hour to 3-1/2 hours, until tender. Let ribs stand for 15-20 minutes before cutting.
- Note: When its time for the grill, cook at 250F for 3-1/2 to 4 hours, follow, the rest of the instructions listed.
- BBQ Sauce
- In a non-aluminum pan, combine all ingredients except ketchup and chili sauce . Bring to a boil.
- Add chili sauce ketchup, bring to a simmer, simmer 20- 40 minutes.
