- 1 ea 3-4 Bottom round roast chuck roast, bottom round
- 1 package French's dry onion soup mix
- Sauce
- 3/4 cup KETCHUP
- 2 Tbsp BROWN SUGAR
- 2 Tbsp MAPLE SYRUP
- 1 Tbsp HOT SAUCE
- 1 Tbsp SOY SAUCE
- 1/4 tsp GRANULATED GARLIC
- 1/4 tsp CHILI POWDER
- 1/4 tsp BLACK PEPPER
- 1/4 tsp LIQUID SMOKE optional
Instructions
- Place roast in slow-cooker, pour water over beef. Sprinkle onion mix over beef.
- Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a microwavable bowl; stir well. Ladle 1/3 of the sauce over the beef; rub into the onion mix. Refrigerate remaining sauce.
- Cover cook for 6-8 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high.
- Check the roast by inserting a fork; the fork should pull out easily. Remove beef let stand 15 minutes. meanwhile microwave the remaining BBQ sauce in the microwave; covered. pour the liquid off the beef, degrease the liquid.
- Shred beef with forks, add sauce and beef liquid as needed.
