  1. 1 ea 3-4 Bottom round roast chuck roast, bottom round
  2. 1 package French's dry onion soup mix
  3. Sauce
  4. 3/4 cup KETCHUP
  5. 2 Tbsp BROWN SUGAR
  6. 2 Tbsp MAPLE SYRUP
  7. 1 Tbsp HOT SAUCE
  8. 1 Tbsp SOY SAUCE
  9. 1/4 tsp GRANULATED GARLIC
  10. 1/4 tsp CHILI POWDER
  11. 1/4 tsp BLACK PEPPER
  12. 1/4 tsp LIQUID SMOKE optional
Instructions
  1. Place roast in slow-cooker, pour water over beef. Sprinkle onion mix over beef.
  2. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a microwavable bowl; stir well. Ladle 1/3 of the sauce over the beef; rub into the onion mix. Refrigerate remaining sauce.
  3. Cover cook for 6-8 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high.
  4. Check the roast by inserting a fork; the fork should pull out easily. Remove beef let stand 15 minutes. meanwhile microwave the remaining BBQ sauce in the microwave; covered. pour the liquid off the beef, degrease the liquid.
  5. Shred beef with forks, add sauce and beef liquid as needed.
