Ingredients
  1. 1 8 OZ PKG PASTA (SPAGHETTI, PENNE NOODLES, PINWHEELS, BOWTIES)
  2. 4 EA CHICKEN BREASTS OR THIGHS BONELESS
  3. 1 TSP BASIL LEAVES DRY
  4. 2 PINCHES OREGANO LEAVES DRY
  5. 1 TSP GARLIC GRANULATED
  6. 1/2 TSP BLACK PEPPER
  7. 1/2 TSP SALT
  8. 1 SM ONION DICED
  9. 1 TSP BUTTER
  10. 1 CAN CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP
  11. 1 1/2 CUPS FRESH MILK
  12. 1 CUP CHEDDAR CHEESE GRATED
  13. 1 CUP GRATED CHEESE
  14. 1/2 CUP CRACKER CRUMBS
Instructions
  1. COOK PASTA IN BOILING SALTED WATER , RINSE WITH HOT WATER.
  2. SPRINKLE CHICKEN BREAST OR THIGHS WITH LIGHT COATING OF SALT, PEPPER, BASIL, GARLIC AND OREGANO. OVER MEDIUM HEAT, ADD OLIVE OIL TO PAN GRILL CHICKEN UNTIL DONE. REMOVE CHICKEN FROM PAN.
  3. SAUTE ONION IN BUTTER UNTIL BROWN, REMOVE. ADD CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP, MILK, AND 1 CUP OF CHEESE TO THE PAN, MIX WELL, SIMMER 2-3 MINUTES UNTIL IT JUST BOILS. TURN OFF HEAT, SEASON TO TASTE WITH SALT & PEPPER.
  4. COMBINE WITH PASTA NOODLES. PLACE CHICKEN BREAST ON THE BOTTOM OF A CASSEROLE DISH. POUR PASTA AND SAUCE OVER CHICKEN. TOP WITH CRACKERS AND REMAINING CHEESE.
  5. BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES COVERED, 5 MINUTES UNCOVERED.
