Ingredients
  1. 2 CUPS FLOUR
  2. 3/4 TSP SALT
  3. 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
  4. 1/4 TSP BAKING POWDER
  5. 2 LG EGGS
  6. 2 TBSP WATER
  7. 1 1/2 TSP VANILLA
  8. 3/4 CUP SHORTENING
  9. 1/4 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
  10. 3/4 CUP SUGAR
  11. 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
  12. 2 CUPS ROLLED OAT CEREAL
Instructions
  1. SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SALT, BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER; SET ASIDE.
  2. PLACE EGGS, WATER, VANILLA, SHORTENING, BUTTER AND THE SUGARS IN THE MIXING BOWL. BEAT A LOW SPEED, 1 TO 2 MINUTES OR UNTIL WELL BLENDED.
  3. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS; MIX AT LOW SPEED 2 TO 3 MINUTES OR UNTIL SMOOTH.
  4. ADD OATS; MIX ONLY UNTIL BLENDED.
  5. DROP DOUGH ON A GREASED SHEET PAN OR PARCHMENT PAPER, USING A NO. 30 ICE CREAM SCOOP OR BY SPOON.
  6. BAKE AT 350F, FOR 12-14 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHT BROWN. DO NOT OVER COOK.
  7. LOOSEN COOKIES FROM PANS WHILE STILL WARM.
