Ingredients
- 2 CUPS FLOUR
- 3/4 TSP SALT
- 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
- 1/4 TSP BAKING POWDER
- 2 LG EGGS
- 2 TBSP WATER
- 1 1/2 TSP VANILLA
- 3/4 CUP SHORTENING
- 1/4 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
- 3/4 CUP SUGAR
- 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 2 CUPS ROLLED OAT CEREAL
Instructions
- SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SALT, BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER; SET ASIDE.
- PLACE EGGS, WATER, VANILLA, SHORTENING, BUTTER AND THE SUGARS IN THE MIXING BOWL. BEAT A LOW SPEED, 1 TO 2 MINUTES OR UNTIL WELL BLENDED.
- ADD DRY INGREDIENTS; MIX AT LOW SPEED 2 TO 3 MINUTES OR UNTIL SMOOTH.
- ADD OATS; MIX ONLY UNTIL BLENDED.
- DROP DOUGH ON A GREASED SHEET PAN OR PARCHMENT PAPER, USING A NO. 30 ICE CREAM SCOOP OR BY SPOON.
- BAKE AT 350F, FOR 12-14 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHT BROWN. DO NOT OVER COOK.
- LOOSEN COOKIES FROM PANS WHILE STILL WARM.
