Chess Pie
A simple pie that won't go unnoticed.
  1. 3 egg yolks
  2. 1 cup granulated sugar
  3. 2 teaspoons cornmeal
  4. ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. ½ cup milk
  6. ¼ cup butter, melted
  7. ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  8. 1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together all ingredients until smooth.
  3. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 325°F for 50 minutes.
  4. Let cool on wire rack, if you can wait that long.
