Ingredients
- 1 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
- 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
- 1/4 TSP SALT
- 3 TBSP UNSALTED BUTTER
- 3 TBSP MARGARINE
- 2/3 CUP DARK BROWN SUGAR PACKED
- 1 LG EGG
- 1/2 TSP VANILLA
- 1/2 CUP PECANS FINELY CHOPPED
Instructions
- STIR TOGETHER FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT ON PIECE OF WAXED PAPER.
- BEAT TOGETHER THE BUTTER, MARGARINE AND SUGAR IN BOWL UNTIL CREAMY. BEAT IN EGG AND VANILLA UNTIL WELL BLENDED. STIR IN FLOUR MIXTURE AND CHOPPED NUTS.
- SHAPE THE DOUGH INTO TWO 11 INCH ROLLS. WRAP IN PLASTIC WRAP AND REFRIGERATE UNTIL WELL CHILLED. CUT INTO 1/4-INCH SLICES. BAKE IN 350 DEGREE OVEN FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES. COOL ON WIRE RACK
