Basic Pie Crust
Part of the basics, learning how to make a pie crust!
  1. A. P. Flour 2-2/3
  2. Crisco vegetable shortening 1 cup
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Water, very cold 6 Tbsp
  1. Mix flour and salt together. Cut the shortening into the flour using 2 knives or a pastry cutter, until the shortening resembles small peas. Add the cold water, mix only until incorporated DO NOT OVER MIX.
  2. Chill for at least one hour before using.
