- Grits, quick 1/2 cup
- Cheese, shredded sharp cheddar 1 cup
- or processed cheese spread cubes
- Add salt and grits to boiling water, stir constantly until well dissolved., reduce heat, cover, stir occasionally until thick, 4 - 5 minutes.
- Add cheese into grits, stir well. Cover to allow cheese to melt.
