Well we found a gem, the “Little Switzerland Cafe.” The cafe is located just off the “Blue Ridge Parkway” at Milepost 334 and right in the heart of Little Switzerland across from the town post office. They are know for their smoke pulled BBQ pork and smoked trout.  The menu also offers a variety of sandwiches, soup and salads.  They are open from mid April to Oct 31 yearly. So you better head over there before they close for the season.

They have a few shops to visit before and after you enjoy your meal.

I enjoyed a BBQ pork plate with baked beans and slaw, Debbie had a chicken salad sandwich with dried apricots, cranberries and almonds and a cup tomato basil soup.

We return 10/15/2015 to enjoy another meal.  Debbie and I ordered a bowl of “tomato basil soup” each and shared a “French Dip sandwich”.  The soup has a great flavor and is worth the drive,by its self. The French Dip was outstanding, thinly sliced roast beef on a toasted sub roll, with a great flavored dip.

This is a must stop when you are in the area of Little Switzerland.  Or better yet, be like us and put it on your calendar and make it a planned destination.

We returned early June 2017, Debbie enjoyed a chicken salad sandwich and tomato basil soup.  Wait a minute, Didn’t she have that last time, yes she did!, it’s that good.  I enjoyed a turkey panini sandwich.  Debbie and I shared a slice of there homemade orange cake.  We drove a hour out of your way to just enjoy this restaurant again.  New photos!
