Nancy Jo and children have been serving customers at the Raleigh for over 20 years. They offer a variety of homemade cakes, pies, cookies, candies, jellies and jams.

Homemade Caramel Cake, Carrot Cake, Fresh Coconut Cake, Fresh Orange Cake, Hummingbird Cake, Pig Picking Cake, Red Velvet Cake and Strawberry Cake.

The pies looked great also, many of the old time favorites. Coconut Pie, Chocolate Chess Pie, Lemon Chess Pie, Pecan Pie Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Potato Pie. Many of the cakes are sold as half cakes. Pies can be bought completely or by the slice if available.

Based on the crowd that was buying their baked goods on the Saturday we visited, business is doing great.

They are known for their old-timey Southern style 12 Layer Chocolate Cake. Twelve moist yellow cake layers drenched in carefully boiled and stirred chocolate icing. Each layer is baked individually and iced while it is still hot.

A true labor of love, a picture is worth a thousand words. All we need now is a fork.
