Mountain Grown Apples – Fresh baked goods – Jams 7 Jelly – Fresh Cider
They have a bakery using their own local grown apples. They offer, apple fritters, apple pies, apple turnovers, apple cakes, apple loaves and apple muffins. You can watch the bakers make these goodies though a large glass window.
It was a rainy Monday afternoon when we were there in early October. You would have thought there was a shortage on apple and everyone way trying to get their fill before they were gone, it was very busy.
The bakery was doing a booming business also. One lady taking and filling the orders the second lady collecting the money and a third lady constantly filling the display case with fresh hot pastries.
The apple cider was great, only $3.79 per gallon
This is a must stop if you are in the NC Mountains near Waynesville, Maggie Valley and Dillsboro area.
We tried the apple fritter, apple muffin and apple turnover.
An absolute must if you are anywhere in the area. Best apple spice cake ever. Everything is delicious. A truly unique opportunity to sample so many different varieties of apples. Though they are working like beavers, the people that work there are vert friendly and always willing to help and teach about apples. Been going there for over 25 years. Love it!
We took 2 Apple Cakes home to Florida and shatter it with friends and family. Oh my goodness! We either need to drive back to Waynesville or learn how to make it because never EVER have we tasted anything as good!!!!
