We ate here on our fall “leaf looking” trip.  Let me just say “WHAT A FIND”.  This place knows how to cook pork BBQ and all the sides to go with it.    They feature pulled BBQ pork, baby back ribs, beef brisket, smoked turkey.  They also have marinated chicken, fried flounder and a Angus burger.  Their sides are as good as the meat selection.  One side we tried was “cornbread salad”, you hear me right “cornbread salad”.  Our waiter brought us a sample, it is a cucumber, tomato, onion salad with broken up sweet cornbread mixed it.  It was very good.

They offer six different sauces to use on the meat, Eastern NC,  Piedmont, Western, Honey Chipotle, smokehouse and South Carolina.  The meat has a great smoky flavor by its self and doesn’t need much sauce if any!

The decor was very nicely done with a cabin look inside.  The large windows over looking the mountains made it a very pleasurable place to eat.

Service was great, portions were very plentiful and price were good!

The restaurant is a must stop if you are in the NC mountains near Boone and Linville.

Debbie and I shared a half pound pulled pork plate, great food, mac & cheese and cornbread salad as our sides,  and fresh pork skins as our bread.
