“Home cooking done well”

Opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The building was long and somewhat narrow, looked like it cook have been a hardware feed store before becoming a restaurant.  Asked the waitress what was this place before? She said that her grandfather was a house mover and had bought 2 old army barracks for Fort Polk (just up the road) and butted the two barracks together.  It had been a feed store, flea market and a few other things.  The family decided to make it into a restaurant.

They have good variety of soups, sandwiches and salads

Debbie had chicken salad on wheat, with a bowl of Etoufee, I enjoyed a smoked brisket sandwich with a bowl of Etoufee
