I stopped at this restaurant for one reason. They offer a sandwich called a “Cudighi sausage sandwich” this is a fresh grounds sausage that was created in the Ishpeming Michigan area by local Italian cooks. This sausage can only be found in this area of the upper peninsula of Michigan.
From “Chef Blog” Cudighi sausage is very popular where I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This sausage can be found at most pizza or pasty shops or restaurants in the area. Cudighi is a spicy Italian sausage that is commonly made for use in sandwiches or on pizza. This sausage gets a lot of its flavor from seasoning such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
At Bucks they serve the sandwich on a homemade sub roll. Grilled and served with mozzarella cheese. marinara sauce and sauteed peppers and onions. The sandwich was worth the stop. We had all ready eaten breakfast that morning, a couple hours before. That din’t stop me though.
The rest of their menu looked good, good breakfast selection, popular sandwiches and burgers for lunch and some good looking dinner entrees on the dinner menu.
Popular local spot in town that has been there for many years.
