Apple Pie Bread

This from scratch recipe will blow your family away, its apple pie but in a bread, it's apple pie bread. Enjoy this bread for breakfast with your morning coffee or for a sweet snack during the day. Eat this as a dessert or as a midnight snack, the choice is yours.

Ingredients
  1. Streusel Topping:1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  2. 1/2 - teaspoon cinnamon
  3. 3 - tablespoons flour
  4. 2 - tablespoons butter, softened
  5. Bread Ingredients:- ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
  6. 1/3 cup white sugar
  7. 1/3 cup of light brown sugar
  8. 1/3 cup of dark brown sugar
  9. ¼ cup butter, softened
  10. ¼ cup applesauce
  11. 2 eggs, well beaten
  12. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  13. 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  14. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  15. 1/3 cup milk
  16. 1 Cup of Apples = 2 large or 4 small apples, peeled and grated
  17. 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  18. Apple Filling:- 4 Tablespoons of butter
  19. 2 large apples Sliced
  20. 1/2 Teaspoon of cinnamon
  21. 1/2 Tablespoon of light brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the crumb ingredients until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Set aside.
  3. With mixer on medium, beat white sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon and butter until fluffy. Mix in grated apples. Add well beaten eggs and vanilla.
  4. Stir together flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Add flour to egg mixture and stir just until combined. Please do not overmix! Add milk.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle Streusel topping.
  6. Bake approx. 40 minutes.
  7. While the loaf is baking slice the 2 apples and then melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a skillet. Add apples, brown sugar and cinnamon and cook until apples are soft. Set Aside when finished.
  8. Remove from loaf from oven, Cut the loaf down, the middle (just 1 1/2 inches deep) remove the topping with a spoon GENTLY onto a separate plate.
  9. Fill in the void with caramel sauce, then the cooked apples and then more caramel sauce, replace the topping you previously removed and then brush topping with melted butter.
  10. Continue baking an additional 5-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool 10 minutes and remove from pan
